Every country is incredible and every trip is different. However, we believe that everyone welcomes some tips and tricks, particularly if you’re not travelling on the main tourist route. Although there are places that you simply have to see, even if they are very touristy.
Here are some of our top tips. There are obviously many more places to discover. We only write about what we’ve seen and what we can recommend. We can’t guarantee that everything is still the same, or that this is a complete guide. Things change quickly in this part of the world.

Argentina
A bit of everything.
The country is huge and offers something for everyone. You just have to find it, which means travelling long distances.

Bolivia
Authentic.
Travelling through this country with no coastline isn’t easy: Lack of fuel, bad roads, always the same food. But the nature is astonishing.

Chile
Expensive, but good.
One of the more expensive countries in South America, but the landscapes here are breathtaking.

Peru
Lots of good food.
Peru impresses with its outstanding cuisine and its varied roads.

Paraguay
The unknown.
It’s a pity we haven’t seen much of it, but travelling through it is an experience.

Brazil
Nature and hospitality
The country is enormous, impossible to see everything. But the hospitality and nature won us over.

Ecuador
The surprise.
Finally a small country, but one where you find everything.

Colombia
The real chaos.
Not our all-time favourite, but there are still places that are worth visiting.
